GelMax powder is made of crystals with outstanding characteristics.  It can absorb and solidify up to 450 times its own weight in fluids and soft materials.  Thanks to its super-absorbent crystals, the solidifying process quickly takes place by forming a compact amalgam, while slowing down the urea decay process into ammonia, which is the molecule responsible for odours.  This physical process reduces the air oxidation of the created gelatinous mass and limits the risk of germs spreading.

GelMax Water Soluble Pouch

 

The water-soluble pouch enables liquid collection in small containers (urinals, vomit bowls etc).  Upon water contact, the pouch wrapping will quickly dissolve, to release GelMax powder, thereby absorbing and solidifying liquids.

GelMax Superabsorbent Pad

 

 

GelMax powder is embedded into the superabsorbent pad.  The absorbent and solidifying process starts upon contact with liquids and soft materials.  Placing GelMax pads in a collection or waste container provides simple and safe use.  They may also be used as an absorption complement if necessary

 

 

 

 

 

Benefits
The pad may be pre-positioned in a dry container ready for use
Disposal is in regular waste (like nappies) or in case of infection in biohazard waste.  (must not be disposed of in toilets, as the gel may cause blockages)
