The Big Turn and the Big Turn II therapeutic mattress replacement systems are the only products on the market that provide full-body lateral rotation of 40 degrees or more for the bariatric patient weighting up to 1,000 pounds. The Big Turn and Big Turn II also provide the 
standard pressure redistribution
therapy of low air loss to prevent and assist in the treatment of skin issues
such as pressure ulcers. The newly enhanced Big Turn II provides the added
pressure redistribution component of pulsation and an optional respiratory
therapy module that allows mechanical percussion and vibration for the
immobile patient weight up to 1,000 pounds.
The purpose of chest physiotherapy (CPT) is to help patients breathe more freely and to facilitate oxygen and carbon dioxide exchange in the lungs. Percussion and vibration therapy is used to help break up thick secretions in the lungs by repeatedly stimulating the chest wall. Our percussion and vibration therapy can be programmed to focus on one, two or all three zones of the back, targeting the movement of fluid in the patient’s lungs. The programmable therapy cycle can be set for five, ten, or twenty minutes with options for percussion, vibration, or both.
